Primary Side Regulated Flyback Reference Design with 120VAC Input and 24V/4A Rated Output
This reference design implements the UCC28630 PSR controller in a flyback power supply. The UCC28630 is capable of operating in both Continuous and Discontinuous Conduction Modes which enables high efficiency while reducing inductor size and cost. Safety standards such as EN60950 require that any X-capacitors in EMC filters on the AC side of the bridge rectifier quickly discharge to a safe level when AC is disconnected.  Typically: this requirement is achieved by including a resistive discharge element in parallel with the X-capacitor. However: this resistance causes a continuous power dissipation that impacts the standby power performance. In order to reduce standby power and eliminate the standing loss associated with the conventional discharge resistors: the UCC28630 device incorporates active X-capacitor discharge circuitry. In this design: less than 100mW no load power comsumption and over 88% converter efficiency is achieved.
Universal AC Input to 30Vmax@6A Lead-acid Battery Charger Reference Design with PFC
The PMP10110 design converts the universal input AC voltage to isolated 17V...30V@6A and is suitable to charge lead-acid or Li-Ion batteries. The converter is a constant-V and constant-I genarator and the set points for output voltage (charge level) and current are settable by means of two PWM signals. The first stage is a PFC boost while the isolation ad current stabilization is performed by DC-DC half bridge stage. An isolated quasi-resonant flyback converter supplies all internal voltages and provide some extra current for external loads (fan or analog section): in details 12V@400mA and 5V@300mA.

PMP20305 is an LED driver circuit reference design using the LM5022-Q1 boost controller IC and two types of constant-current methods to drive 4 strings of LEDs. Two of the LED strings utilize the TL431 voltage reference as a driver to perform a constant current source: while the other two strings utilize the TL4242 linear LED driver IC: which also features a PWM-controlled brightness adjust scheme. The input voltage range of the circuit is 6Vin to 16Vin (24Vin Peak). The output of the LM5022-Q1 boost converter is set to 26.9Vout and is capable of supplying a total of 0.4A of current to the loads.
